Okay, I said....I swore....I was putting this guy on permanent ignore.
And I had my reasons.
But I can't resist this. I just can't.
I can't BELIEVE I'm five days late to this party, but here it comes.

Too funny. Too f'in funny!
Below the fold............

Remember white-supremacist Internet radio host, Hannity BFF, and keyboard commando Hal Turner?

Turner was once a prominent activist in New Jersey's Republican Party. To area conservatives, he was best known by his moniker for call-ins to the Sean Hannity Show, "Hal from North Bergen." For years, Hannity offered his top-rated radio show as a regular forum for Turner's occasionally racist, always over-the-top rants. Hannity also chatted with him off-air, allegedly offering encouragement to Turner as he struggled to overcome a cocaine habit and homosexual leanings.

I diaried about his antics here several times. About his connections to Ron Paul, about his encouraging violence against New Jersey Supreme Court justices, about his threats against Nancy Pelosi and United States Senators....wait, which time?....sigh.

Not to mention his threats against....

------------- Hal Turner Apologizes for allowing this to slip through:

When I approve comments, I only see a small portion of the comment in the moderation area. As you can see, the first two paragraphs seemed perfectly reasonable, which is how this obscenity got past me. I apologize to everyone for this getting through.

The posting was made through a Verizon account in Roanoke, VA.
The posting IP was (redacted) and was made at 3:49 PM Eastern Time on Nov. 18.

I do hereby authorize electronic attacks against that IP address.

I further request that everyone utilize all the resources possible, both legal and ILLEGAL, to determine the identity of the person responsible.

If I am given that information, I will personally conduct barbaric retaliation against this person.

Then, one day, I got this email:

subject Go Whine some more!

Hi Kestrel!
I exposed the home addresses and home telephone numbers of U.S. Senators
on my radio show and web site last night.  They may think they can
ignore millions of calls, letters, faxes and e-mails from hard-working
Americans opposed to the Immigration Bill, but they won;t be able to
ignore us when we show up at their homes and their home phones start
ringing off the walls.

There is a price to be paid by elected officials for ignoring the Will
of The People.  I have now arranged for 64 US Senators to begin paying
that price.

Have fun whining and complaining on your rinky-dink web site about how
this might be endangering the US Senate.  You and your pathetic readers
are utterly powerless to do anything about me, my show, my site, my
views or my freedom to take actions such as this.

Every time you try, you lose.

Hal Turner

a couple of days after a visit to his website revealed that he had added to his masthead part of a fawning, bootlicking quote from one of his followers that I had quoted derisively in this diary....attributed to Daily Kos.
That was it. I swore him off right then and there. I decided the attention whore had gotten enough attention from me, and I got a reminder of how the guy thought he was playing me on each and every successive and less-frequent check of his website.

Guten MORGEN, Gruppenfuhrer!
It ain't my "rinky-dink little website."
I just post there.
And that "rinky-dink little website" gets more hitz in two hours than you get in a week.
I will deal with you at the time and by the means of my choosing.

Sigh. And I was doing so well, too.
But I feel comfortable in asserting that this will be the last time I diary about this....creature...because something a few of us long suspected has turned out to be true!!!!

Oh, we have suspected this for a looooooong time, but once this came out, we were able to confirm it for sure. Folks are going to see this as the reason why Hal Turner has been getting away with communicating threats toward judges, elected officials, the president, us, etc., without anything happening to him.

We've periodically reported on the antics of far-right maven Hal Turner, who most notably has made a career out of threatening people. This includes issuing threats against judges (and taking credit when one of his target's family members were murdered), calling for vigilante force to "rescue" Terri Schiavo, and demanding we begin shooting Mexican border crossers on sight.

Awesome. Maybe he can get coming to him what he's been recommending his listeners and readers do to those Hal hates all these years...

Hal Turner stalked in front of Kingston High School with his neo-Nazi supporters in 2005, tossing white-power taunts at counter-demonstrators.

That was just part of his legacy. He railed against President Bush and Jews, too. He handed out the private addresses of New Jersey Supreme Court justices.

But some government agencies are OK if you work for them — and Turner apparently did.

And finally, our friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center:

Hal Turner is one serious extremist. He may also be on the FBI payroll.

On Jan. 1, unidentified hackers electronically confronted Turner in the forum of his website for "The Hal Turner Show." After a heated exchange, they told Turner that they had successfully hacked into his server and found correspondence with an FBI agent who is apparently Turner’s handler. Then they posted an alleged July 7 E-mail to the agent in which Turner hands over a message from someone who sent in a death threat against Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wisc.). "Once again," Turner writes to his handler, "my fierce rhetoric has served to flush out a possible crazy." In what is allegedly a portion of another E-mail, Turner discusses the money he is paid.

Part of Hal's swansong message to his former friends:

I have grown weary of this battle; my heart just isn't in it anymore.

As such, I regret to announce the termination of the Hal Turner Show.

I will always value the friendships I made in the pro-white movement and those friends will always be welcome in my home.

I never have and never will betray my people. You will never see me on TV or hear me on radio as some pathetic "reformed" whatever.

Hal, you were already pathetic. Maybe just a little MORE so than the rest of your racist ilk....but not much.

Turner’s alleged E-mail to his FBI handler is also addressed to a detective sergeant with the New Jersey State Police who trained with the FBI Police Executive Fellowship Program in 2004. Interestingly, as long ago as May 2006, Turner wrote of a visit paid to him by the two men, saying they had come to his house to warn him that "Washington has instructed us to close you down." In that same posting on his website, Turner described himself as the type to inspire "a whole slew of potential Timothy McVeighs. I don’t make bombs," he added, "I make bombers."

"It’s become so routine," Turner said of FBI visits in a 2005 interview with The (Hackensack, N.J.) Record, "they are like my private FBI agents."

I guess they were, weren't they, Harold?

I guess they were.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
